Distilled from the gum/resin of scrubby trees that grow across the Middle East, frankincense oil has been highly valued as a healing agent for thousands of years.

It has a long history of use to enhance meditation and spiritual work, for embalming, in perfume and for anointing newborn sons of kings and priests. Frankincense was one of the gifts brought to baby Jesus and is mentioned many times in the Bible. Today frankincense oil is used for a number of varying uses.
